First of all, The rest of my trip into Canada was a disaster and I need to write about it but it will be a very long post and I want to wait until I have a computer handy to write it.
Right now I am in Stuartville, Wisconsin (doncha know). I am waiting for my clock to reset so I can go pick up my next load in Neenah, Wisconsin. I had a very late night, and did not get parked and ready for sleep until 5:00 AM this morning.
I had been dreading the delivery of this load since I looked at the papers because they said "Driver Unload"... Which meant that I would have to unload 11,108 Lbs of paper towels by myself, not a fun prospect. However, when I arrived, I was informed that there were Lumpers available for hire. Lumpers are guys who make contracts with truck drivers to unload their trailers. Why they are called Lumpers is beyond me, but I eagerly hired one. My employer would reimburse me later for the $155 fee, and I would not have to get my own lump on. Ut took the Lumpers almost six hours to... Un-lump me (I should get lynched for that one, I know) and after some trial and error on my part I got the... (oh dear) Lump sum approved.
After a minor bout with the truck's batteries I headed to the nearest truck stop for sleep. I was very tired because I had not been up this late in several months. Even now I am somewhat concerned that my sleeping schedule is all messed up, hopefully that lump doesn't turn into a mountain later on.
